beVermont looks and is supposed to look simple, easy to use, friendly and helpful classified ads project. I think it is and hope it will become helpful for you and your friends and neighbors. It took us (me) several months of work, it has been tested many times, much of the system was redone and redone again, errors have been found and removed. But it is not good enough until it goes public and becomes classified ads for many people.
It's an online classified ads system. It is focused on Vermont and neighboring counties of neighboring states and we have no secret attempts to make it bigger and worldwide and grow beyond Vermont.
When you place your ad, it will include title and the text you type in, it will be assigned to a category where it belongs, and it will have contact information you wish to share with people who may be interested in what your ad offers. Standard ad will live for 3 weeks, but you the owner can always extend it to longer time. It's all up to you.

We are not your local newspaper, we are different tool. We don't print stories, we don't report on last night's game and we don't have TV schedule on page 2. We only focus on classifieds. Average local paper has about 3% to 5% of readers to also read some classifieds, in beVermont it is always 100% - we offer nothing else. We don't try to compete, we simply try to do the job very well. And of course, we would not be able to do it without you – our visitors, readers or folks who post their ads.
People and friends often ask me, "so Bob ... how much"? My answer is simple. beVermont is completely free of charge. Reading, posting, contacting advertisers, etc = no charge. Yes, we expect expenses from running this project, but to get it off the ground for all of us we decided to keep money out of it for now.
It took us a long time and much of our work was very complicated, but it is here. I really hope we will see you on beVermont often and mostly hope it will truly work for you. And it will work as well for your family members, friends, neighbors, classmates, coworkers and everybody who needs it. Share beVermont with all of them!
